- एक अपठित गद्यांश जिसके बाद तीन अति लघु उत्तरीय प्रश्न और एक शब्दावली आधारित प्रश्न पूछा जाएगा (3×2=6 अंक और 1 अंक शब्दावली = 7 अंक)। कुल मिलाकर पठन खंड 10 अंकों का होता है।
2. लेखन कौशल (Writing Skills – 10 Marks)
- औपचारिक या अनौपचारिक पत्र अथवा प्रार्थना पत्र (4 अंक)।
- वर्णनात्मक अनुच्छेद, रिपोर्ट या आलेख जो दिए गए संकेतों के आधार पर लगभग 80 से 100 शब्दों में लिखना होगा (6 अंक)।
3. व्याकरण खंड (Grammar – 15 Marks)
- पार्ट्स ऑफ स्पीच, टेंस, आर्टिकल्स, वाक्यों का क्रम निर्धारण और वर्तनी (Spellings) पर आधारित पांच बहुविकल्पीय प्रश्न (5×1=5 अंक)।
- नरेशन, वॉइस और पंक्चुएशन पर आधारित तीन अति लघु उत्तरीय प्रश्न (3×2=6 अंक)।
- हिंदी के एक छोटे गद्यांश का अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद (4 अंक)।
